To My Warm and Cozy Bed

At the crack of dawn, the beginning of day
There is but one place I would rather stay.
The pillows are soft and the blankets are warm
I understand that this is everyone’s norm.
My bed is my home, my love, and my life
Without it I’d slash everyone with a knife.
It is where my thoughts are able to run free
And I am finally able to be completely me.
Once I’m lulled into sleep by the cozy sheets
I’m surrounded by dogs and good things to eat.
This is a thank you to my warm, cozy bed
Because of you, not a single tear is shed.
