I should have known better
The cruelty of human nature
People longs for new friends
Abandoning the ones
Which they once
held on so tight
How stupid I was to believe
Just to find it was just temporary
The bond between us
No longer exists
I couldn’t even remember
Why we became friends
All I know is my dear
We were like peas and carrots
