Cedar
Pulled off the shelf
The book was dusted clean.
He looked at the title
And followed his index finger down the spine
Where the pages bound together.
He held the object towards his pale face
And flipped the pages open.
Creating a fan of dust that sprayed on his face
He breathed in the smell of cedar
That intoxicated his lungs with the sweet smell
Of words.

I was in class one day looking at a boy pick up a book off his desk and he fanned the pages across his face and i thought that it was really cool so i wrote about it.
