Humans
Without the words of our one messiah
We find ourselves fall to dark desire
A world without humanity’s deep scars
A good way to say a shot for the stars
We raise our children to believe the lie
Then turn and blame when things become awry
We don’t want to change the way we can be
For still, even now we just cannot see
Though we try to say we are different
We are all selfish and belligerent
Humanity is a selfish creature
While destruction is their greatest feature
