Your Weight Does Not Define You
Society has manipulated our brains to think that anyone bigger than a size 6 is just too big, and anyone smaller than a size 2 is just too small.
That being too fat or too skinny makes you less of a person.
That the more of you there is the less that you matter,
And if there isn’t enough of you you shouldn’t exist.
That being happy and confident only coincide with being pretty.
And that you can’t be pretty if you aren’t the right weight.
That you aren’t capable of having someone love you just the way you are.
But fat and skinny are just two of the many descriptive words that come along with being you.
Artistic, smart, funny, creative, witty, and kind are just the few of the many words that you can be.
Your weight does not define you.
Whether you are 90 pounds or 300.
You matter.
You have a soul, a heart, and a mind with thoughts.
And despite how ever much you weight you will be loved.
By a boy, or a girl, or someone who doesn’t identify with a gender.
Maybe not today or tomorrow, but someday.
So just know that life is worth living.
And even though it’s a battle just to keep breathing,
And you’re in a war with yourself, don’t forget that you can win.
That you are worth breaking out the weapons for.
No matter how skinny or fat, how little or big the war will someday come to an end.
Just don’t let society make you surrender to soon, because with society you can never win.
