To the Eyes of a Billion Stars
To the eyes of a billion stars
there appears to be planets
floating through the
unmarked areas of no gravity.
To the eyes of a million stars
there appears to be massive boulders
traveling an unknown path on an unknown journey
through the unknown depths.
To the eyes of a thousand stars
there appears to be reaches
of entire galaxies
closing in through the twilight
triggering the unknown to occur.
To the eyes of one hundred stars
the untouchable air seems to shake
and yet
the movement is never audible
nor their explosion known.
To the eyes of ten stars
the universe does not exist,
too much space is open
and an empty feeling of uncertainty
corrupts their illuminating glow.
And yet,
To the eyes of one star
you shine the brightest
out of the billions of stars
that have illuminated the night before.

This poem was very inspired by the thought of the multiple points within the universe.
