When a loved one dies,

You mourn

You cry

You think about things you didn't tell them.

I regret not telling you my sexuality

I regret going in the wagon with my younger brother and hurting your shoulder.

I regret telling you that your fat.

I remember going to the store and you got me grape soda.

I wasn't allowed to get grape soda but you got it for me anyways.

I was ecstatic about that bottle of grape soda.

It was only 16 ounces.

I had never had grape soda until you got it for me.

I want to thank you for the grape soda.

I remember you and Grandma   would watch me and my younger brother in the pool at the Pacific Inn.

He is okay. He is in Salt Lake City, Utah if you want to visit him. He wishes he could've gone to the funeral.

What is heaven like? Is it all white like Hollywood says it is?

What does God look like? Does he have facial hair?

I miss you a lot grandpa.

I can't wait to see you again.

I'm sure you know how I feel, or maybe you don't. I wish I had visited you more.

I wish I had prayed for you to get better.

My mom was thinking of flying out and surprising you for your birthday but then you died.

I miss you so much Grandpa.

I remember you would watch the woman do the Tai Chi by the library.

I'm going to do a class with mom for you.... Eventually.

I love you so so much grandpa.

I'm always going to say "grandma and grandpa's house" because "grandma's house" makes me sad.

I hope you liked my poem. I couldn't remember your favorite color so I glued it on green paper.

I hope you like green.

I remember you liked pecan pie.

I woke up the time you died. I didn't realize it at the time but when I woke up in the morning mom told me.

She told me "Grandpa died last night at 2 in the morning"

I was instantly in tears.

I remember the last time we picked you and grandma up from the airport we saw a raccoon in the back yard up on the hill.

I wish I could see you at my graduation, I know you will be there in spirit though.

Christy and Martin miss you too.
