The Fading Light Inside

War is not only a physical battle. Many students have inner wars and mine was started when I was looked down upon by a beast whose only way of surviving was to hunt and feed on his prey. These beasts attack students safe places and destroy their lives. Silently people suffer and look to the night sky as they wish for a shooting star to carry their sorrows away with it. Too many people benefit from this crime while thousands of people are sitting in bed choking on their sorrows and suffering in pain. People may look happy while under their clothes and under their skin they have cuts deeper than anyone could imagine. Words have meanings and they can be sharper than the knives that fight in our wars. My friends, my girlfriend, and my family all pulled my out of my dark abyss. They became the shooting star I was wishing for and helped me find my light that has been dimmed throughout time; but what do the other thousands of students have to show them their light? Day by day their light fades; their predators feast while we stand by and watch.

I wrote this because of my childhood where I was bullied by many people over a span of 5 or 6 years. I was pulled out of it recently and this is me looking into how I was like and how I know how others are feeling right now but they dont show it.
