First Kiss

New Years Eve,
We sit on the couch.
Our friends around us,
Pressuring us to kiss.
As the seconds tick down,
5, 4,
I start getting butterflies.
I’m thinking in my mind “is this really happening?”
I hear everyone is yelling in the background,
I start sweating,
3, 2, 1.
It happens in slow motion.
Our lips touch,
Everyone screams.
We both have a bitter sweet smirk.
I realise
I just found myself a boyfriend.
