the sudden flash of light
made the sky shine bright
the cold gust of wind
made my hair spin
the pile of leaves
began to weave
in and out of cars
like the northern stars
I began to wonder
about all the thunder
the way it sounds
through the dry ground
the way the earth looks
from rivers to brooks
the sudden flash of light
