For Some Reason
For some reason when I see you, I can feel my palms get sweaty as the butterflies in my stomach start swarming all around.
For some reason when I see you, I can feel a surge of just emotion in my chest while my lips curl up into a grin, seemingly acting on their own.
For some reason, I catch myself searching for you out in the crowd of people, not even realizing I’m holding traffic up behind me.
For some reason when I talk to you, I get all tongue-tied and I can feel my heart doing somersaults in the confined space of my rib cage.
For some reason when I talk about you, I can’t seem to shut up as I annoy my friends while I tell them about your little quirks and how you keep bringing up the szechuan sauce McDonald's discontinued oh so long ago.
For some reason when I think of you, my mind goes racing thousands upon thousands of miles an hour with how your voice sounds goofy but adorable when you sing, how your grin is just great and genuine, how you have that slight bounce in your step as you walk, how your eyes twinkle when you talk about something you love, how you are seemingly always so optimistic and on the top of the world.
For some reason when I think about you, I don’t seem to worry about the bad things that seem to lurk around the corners of my life.
For some reason when I’m near you, I have to bite my lip so I just don’t spill out all of my emotions and what is on my mind to you because for some reason I feel so compelled to tell you.
For some reason, I think I fall a bit more and more for you every day.
For some reason, you are the reason.
