You and the Sun
You are good,
You think to yourself.
You recline in your seat, bathing in the sun.
The sun looks down upon you, faceless, full of light.
You smile with your mouth and your teeth at it.
You keep staring at the sun.
You aren’t smiling,
You say.
The sun does not answer. It keeps shining at you.
You wonder why the sun won’t answer.
The sun looks without eyes down at
You.
The sun knows without thinking of what
You really are.
Are you good?
You wonder at yourself.
