If Only
If only I could have saved you
The roads I could have paved for you
The scars I could have took from you
The thoughts I could have shook from you
You didn't realize the prize or the size
Of the minds you can now combine
Cause the thoughts you bought
Distraught what was left of your lot
If I had a dime for every time you
Mimed and wasted time
Building shrines out of lies
While in a line you stood eating the food
Of your sour mood, feeling misunderstood
Instead of could, you would not try
In your mood of sour you would cower
Wasting your hours making them tower
While you lose your power
The problem is you dismiss the kiss and miss the meaning
But now I am here and no longer have fears or tears
They disappeared
I wonder if I could have saved you
Or the roads I could have paved for you
The scars I might have took from you
The thoughts I should have shook form you
