My Choice and Why
I am tired of living
 In this world of societied people
 Exchanging dreams for a 401k.

 I am afraid of breathing
 That air exalted from leather lungs,
 I’m smoking sunlight.

  The dark leads to anxiety;

  There's not enough time.

 Cytoskeleton rebounding, roots grounding,
 Hallucinations surrounding
 My soul, the chloroplastic emerald dreams I’m founding

 Dripping chrome sensations
 Steer societal destinations,
 I don't want to belong to this nation
 Where money is better than feelings.

 I’m lifted towards drowning
 From all the expectations:
 People trade their lives for a 401k.
 There isn't enough time.
