You and I
Waves rippled gently
Across the horizon
Calming moon glow
Glistens off the waves
Black silk fills the night sky
Warm, Gentle sand
Hugs around my feet
Breeze ever so soft and silky
She is the reason
The reason
I am happy, sad, excited, mad
My hands are clammy, so nervous
Can't let her see me sweat
I’ve got to find it
The perfect one
To ask the question
My future is in her hands
She is my future
Long golden locks that every girl dreamed of
She had
Gorgeous baby blue eyes that made guys bar
She had
Sweet, innocent and daring personality
That every girl desired to have
She had
A laugh that could heal your pain in seconds
She had
She is my future
He is the reason
The reason
I cry, sing, laugh, and shout
His hands are clammy, he must be nervous
I love this the most
Everytime
I see him
I see
My future, in his hands, he is the one
He is my future
Caramel skin, so soft that glowed in the sun
He had
Eyes that could make you feel sense of home
With just one look
He had
A personality that shines
Brighter than the stars tonight
He had
A voice that could make you fall in love
Over, and over again
He had
He is my future
After tonight
Every night will be a bit warmer
Every kiss will have more passion
Every smile will be a bit wider
Every touch will have a feeling
Every story will end in happily ever after
Every trip to the store will be an adventure
Every journey will be explored together
Every Mountain will become and hill
Every storm will turn into a rainbow
She wore a dress
A white cotton dress
Very short dress
Covered in lace
With beading under the bust
Flutters in the breeze
Ever so soft and silky
The soft moonlight glow
Casts across her face
Look of disorientation masks her face
Long golden locks dance in the breeze
Ever so soft and silky
Enough butterflies to fill a garden
Consume her stomach
As he gets down
The perfect one
The perfect night
The perfect question
“Will you marry me?”

I wrote this piece thinking of my boyfriend at the time and what came to mind when we did an in class write. I had grabbed a seashell and a whole story generated from just that seashell.
