Star Woven
Time passes as
he waits for the day
to see her again,
face scribbled across the sky,
body engulfed
by the woven fabrics of the
Milky Way.
Their love was cosmic.
One hundred billion galaxies,
with billions of stars
each twenty seven million degrees,
Altair still manages
to always find Vega in the midst of
the dark and light of it all.
When the seventh day of
the seventh month comes,
he is breathing fire,
staring up at the star.
As the bridge forms across the galaxy,
he knows she is looking back at him
from across the universe.
