As I Walked By

As I walked by ,
With no one by my side.
The heart yearned for the camaraderie,
That I lost in the crossing.

Nothing to hold on to,
I was an inmate to myself.
Without my word,
My feet kept budging,

To bring my end near.

The sky melted into shades of scarlet,
Dissolving the horizon.
Bound by solitude,
For it was only me,
My soul company.

Tears drenched my lashes,
Knowing I have no meaning,
And life is a pitiless abyss.
The will to move on is a zilch.

My eyes gazed upon the night aether,
The obscure darkness,
Warped everything in a muted space.

I spoke within me,
Trivial, I could be.
But one thing the twilight flaunted.

If stars do need the night to shine,
Can’t my misery find the light?
Securing it could be arduous,
But a chance to recuperate.

The adventure doesn’t need a melody,
When a note is enough,
To spectacle a marvel at the cadence.

This day,I walked by,
With me by my side.

Sometimes we lose hope when we dont have anyone by our side. We fail to realise that we have that one person who has the power, the ability. That's you. We often underestimate individuality and the wonders it can unravel. The skies are dark but the stars dont shine without them do they? I wrote this poem to emphasize one's self and the wonders it can create.
