The Girl in the Yellow Dress
Blonde hair, green eyes, beauty made no compromise.
Teeth that sparkled like freshly fallen winter snow, complete with a flawless, pale complexion that lacked a summer glow.
She was always draped in a yellow, sparkly dress…a fashion statement far from shy,
this girl stood out like the sun against the tinted blue sky.
Her smile never faded, her happiness couldn’t be shaded, for she was the sparkle in every dull day, to prove my point she would wait until the end of time just to make sure that everyone was okay.
The words she said, the wisdom she spoke, all instilled even the slightest glimmer of hope. With her heart of gold, she changed the lives of both the young and the old.
This girl had no fears, worries, sadness, or sorrow. She was the happiest being the world would know for all of today, but not for tomorrow.
For the girl in the yellow dress had a secret that nobody knew. A secret she couldn’t escape, that stuck to her like glue.
She smiled and laughed until everyone believed her show, but sad, sad she was, and nobody would ever know.
It was the next day when clouds dulled the sun, that students let out a cry and wondered why the girl’s depression has won. Then it was told, the tragic ending of the girl with a heart of gold.
Tears, empty bottles, and a note, word by word, line by line, another depressing quote.
The news was shared by many but accepted by none, her family and friends had no clue, for this made them realize that all of this time, her dress was actually blue.
