"you're so skinny!" they all shout
"are you anorexic?" they ask as well
yes i know i'm really skinny
no need to point it out
i'm okay
yes i'm eating enough
yes i'm perfectly healthy
i hate the questions and comments constantly coming
but the questions they ask
are too simple for my answers
i'm healthy
but i don't feel okay
i feel too skinny
i feel too small
i'm not perfect
i'm not like the rest
i'm not comfortable in my own body
"wow you're so tall" they all say
"how's the weather up there?" they joke
but the jokes get old fast
i laugh along though
put on a smile
even though i'm crying inside
but i don't want it to show
"you don't need makeup!" they all say
but i feel like i do
i don't care what you think
i feel more confident wearing it
even if you don't like it
people need to understand
the way people feel about themselves
think before you speak
put yourself in someone else's shoes
and experience their issues for a while
see how you'll feel then
and what questions you'll ask next
