The moon had past its pinnacle
Now was not the time to travel the desolate streets
Shadows slithered like snakes
Collision concludes in conflict

Metal, plastic, rubber, and leather
Ripped was the harness that used to tether
Anger aroused causing tempers to flare
Bits and pieces scattered the ground

The man needed help but noone was around
This was their hood and
The gang started to surround
blood , sweat, and tears
Dripped from the man that no longer stood

The man now did the one thing he could
Faster than the wind
He escaped the scene
Unable to call the police
For his phone was in his jeans
Bloody, bruised, beaten

After the ordeal he contemplated
Victimized, brutalized, terrorized
With a one shaky inhale
He released his
Pain, sorrow, and frustration
Out with a smooth exhale
As he turned he saw the car he once knew
Smashed, crashed, and shattered
