broken teeth,

and cracked ribs.

His marks of

forged love

and lust.

His marks of

pure rage

and hate.

Marks that

never fully

healed.

But you-

you healed them.

Fixed them.

With bruises

of your own.

Always bruises.

Bruises of

the neck

and chest.

Long nights

of ecstasy

and love bites.

So, 

I guess

it's true

when they say,
