O . D .
The enlargement of your pupils,
Encaptured by your irises.
It intrigues me with fear.
The mysterious silence,
Longing between us.
All colors blended as one,
Moving back and forth.
In darkness,
In light,
My dear friend,
You’ve left me alone.

This poem is about loving someone who loves you back, but prioritizes their crutches before others. Rather than thinking about the people who matter most to them in life they choose their addiction, leaving behind the people and things that truly matter.
