Dead-beat Dad
To the one that was never there…
planted a seed in my mother,
but wasn’t there to watch it grow
She tried to plan for the best,
but he was the worst
I had no one to call father,
He was just my sperm donor,
he left a taste of spoiled milk in my mouth!
My mother broke her back
To make sure I was okay!
Yes, my mom hollered at me a few times,
Sounding like a cat being run over by a car,
But she was there for me, and
I just wanted you to be there too!
Every little girl needs that father figure
To guide them through life,
but I had no one there to hold my soft little hands!
He just left me hanging like
a branch on a tree, but thankfully
I had a beautiful, strong, light skin woman,
with natural, thick, black hair, smelling
like a garden full of flowers
that did it all on her own!
