The Mountains
Towering hills and low valleys.
Pines and oak trees,
Covering the rising earth.
Off in the distance,
The gurgle of water hits my ears.
I breathe in the crisp air deeply,
Savoring the fresh aroma.
My thoughts are serene chaos,
As I stare at the open scene.
Filled with peaceful scenes,
Yet tossed with stormy thoughts.
Perhaps it is the height,
Or the wide spanning view.
That opened by perspective,
To new discoveries.
