We're Fine

Our eyes are weary
and our hearts sore
And we've become friends
with the bottom
of too many bottles
We're struggling
to keep our heads
above the black ocean
But if anyone asks
tell them we're fine

I am a sophmore at Croatan High School. This poem came to me at a time when I was not fine at all and writing down my feelings during this time helped me overcome that rut I was in.
