Mare**

As the waves clash with the pristine scarlet margin
Every stone deposited amongst each other with subtle precision
The vermilion streak percolated and pervaded the cracks
With blood crimson as if a horrific battle prevailed
The shimmer of silicate triumphed over the controlled chaos
  The dark midnight path
The pinnacle layer depressed into the unique landscape
The bottom of Shorepines scim the edge as if a boundary
The long scotch broom grass swayed
As if each individual strand is an organism
  An army
At the bottom of the depth is an eggshell seashore
Littered with armor of past defeat
As the sea gently recedes and proceeds in motion
Leaving fragmented limbs of bull kelp
