Change the World
Until we take off the fool’s mask,
Just stop, listen and then ask:
Why is the world like it is?
Why don’t other people have their own bliss?
Why is chaining people down our task?
How long will this last?
Whatever happened to our voices within?
Did they become silent for the fear of committing a sin?
Knowing that if we dare even ask,
About why aren’t there changes in our tasks,
Then our road to hell will begin,
And so it is better to keep the light dim.
Keeping silent is not always bad,
For it stops conflicts from coming out of hand,
But note that silence is the only way,
That keeps our problems out at bay,
It’s like burying glass into the sand,
It gives us nowhere safe to stand.
However, if we just take a breath and take a leap into the sky,
Give us a reason not to break down and cry,
It will give us opportunities unknown,
Giving us the trophy and the gold,
Get the sand out of your eyes,
Send the troubles away to die.
The message is that the road ahead is far and wide,
And obstacles and fate will intertwine,
The sword and pen will be put to the test,
You will have to try your best,
Do something no one would try,
If it bring in another smile.

This poem was inspired by all those who stood up for what they believed in. They made me realize that there are many problems to the world, and the only way to address them is if we can get even one person stand out and speak their mind.
