My Little Pink Ring
My little pink ring
The sterling silver shining in the sun
The pink diamond staring back at me with my reflection…
I look at it in awe with tears filling my eyes,
Wrapped up in a blue box with a silky
White ribbon enclosing the ring in the box.
He gave it to me-
The boy i was in love with and still am;
It's a ring,
A ring that means nothing,
Except all the love he has for e…
Well, had for me.
A ring is an object,
So small,
So dainty,
And yet it means everything to me.
I may have lost the love of my life;
But the ring,
The beautiful sterling silver ring with a small pink diamond in the center,
Is the only thing i have left of him.
I lost him,
But i will not lose this little symbol of love: the only thing left of my one and only true love.
