Mother Nature's Child
She smiled
her white teeth glistening
in stark contrast with her dark skin
She giggled sweetly
in spite of Humanity's shunning,
though The Child did not feel alone
for her friend Sun shone down on her
and gleamed his reverence of her beauty
He found himself attracted
to the gravity of the moons
that twinkled humbly within her dark coconut irises
She was special
He had never before witnessed such overwhelming brightness
Quite dearly he loved her so
that he gifted her with his light
and forever did her purity blind all evils that approached her
But The Child did not speak her appreciation
for all she need do is grin
and her inner beauty would reflect from her teeth
voicing all of her benediction
Swimming within the waves of Transcendence
The Child breathed in Mother Nature's divine essence
and despite the perpetual denunciations
uttered from those misguided spirits
She chuckled
for not the world's stubborn rotation
could make her lose balance
She walked with a steady foot across the sea
The waters were indeed astonished
Quite gravely did she amaze them
that they gifted her with their tranquility
All of her insecurities were evaporated
and never again was she fazed by the taunts thrown at her
But The Child did not whisper back her thanks
for her tears compensated
and the seas soaked up her modesty
On she went
Where ever she placed her presence
she was graciously accepted by Mother Nature
ensuring that never should she be
without a companion within a world that despised her
She glided effortlessly across Earth
possessed with such grace
that the birds and cats and apes flocked behind her
and she led them proudly
As Mankind forced their superiority upon all the Land
not ever did the animals fear or resent her
For her aurora was loving with not a hint of superciliousness
The stale air always disrupted by her serene winds that breezed in her wake
Quite deeply did the animals appreciate her compassion
that they gifted her
Thereafter, when ever she willed
only but a touch was necessary
to cleanse another of their corrupted ways
so that their hearts may only know equality
But The Child did not bow down to express her gratitude
for her gentle touch alone
spoke all the tenderness in her heart
By now the entire world
had witnessed this child's supernatural halo
Even the spirits and minds of the far past
The Child was soon overwhelmed with elation
as a chorus grew swiftly upon the breeze about her
Legendary voices coalescing into one supreme song
She heard among the voices Korsakov, Vivaldi, and Beethoven
singing about Bumblebees basking about in the Spring Moonlight
The chorus grew louder and louder
until the whole of the Earth heard it-
and then the planet stopped-
leaving humanity dizzy and off balance
But The Child took no notice
Swaying and dancing to the music
she absorbed all the melodies
that the musicians and composers entertained her with
Quite strongly did the legendary minds admire
her profound and extraordinary intellect
that they gifted her
and they serenaded her with infinite knowledge
Thus, she became the greatest mind in all of history
for her mind contained the wisdom of all those who once lived
and the mysteries of the universe she did know
But The Child did not sing her heart's praise
for the spirits heard the quickness of her heartbeat
and they saw that her laughter fell in rhythm with it
This was praise enough for them
On she danced, skipped, hopped, and leaped
to the Music on the Wind
and her laughter was so great that
Mother Nature pushed the winds
back towards the ocean for The Child to follow
and so she did
Mother Nature then summoned all of her nature to follow her
The sea parted once more to be her stage
and Sun beamed down
casting a spotlight upon her
and the animals looked on joyfully
as her audience
The winds continued to sing
and The Child danced on well into dusk
She was at bliss
for no one bothered her
and she was comforted by the warmth surrounding her
The planet was motionless
obliviously embracing the moment
She was free
Safe-
Happy-
The girl opened her eyes
and realized that in spite of her dreadful woes
that mercifully dissipated for just a moment-
She was smiling
