They say the Universe is infinte,

but they claim that it is not

Borne from nothingness,

And behold!

It takes claim to everything,

and everything stretches far beyond it 'ought

Created from countless specks of energies,

drifting into stardust

Forming gods of matter and life

Lonely,

as the prisoner of eternity

was sought

Thus, the Universe created Time

and with it, it evolved

Expanding and creating

Giving the fate of the future not any forethought

Yet harboring a suppressed denial

of knowing precisely what it brought

Time eventually became restless;

tired of the Universe's foolish paradoxes

Taking matters into its own mischevious hands,

it sabotaged the Universe's elaborate creations...

and so they fought

But Time had become too powerful,

sending the Universe into utter cataclysms

Stars exploded

Beasts were formed

as the Universe spiraled into an order-lacking drought

Millions of new things erupted from the chaos:

Satellites, Planets, Solar Systems, Galaxies!

Our beloved Sun

and Earth became,

along with it-us

And now we are here,

but be it with Time,

we will not

As the Universe continues to edge along

in constant contradiction

Or rather,

it forever stands still

in a bubble called the 'Multiverse'

it is caught

I wrote this poem at the age of 12, when I first became a poet, so it isn't one of my best pieces, but it is definitely one of my favorites.
