Supernova
The mysteries of the universe
Are compiled into one person.
Just look into his eyes
And you can see far away galaxies
Holding secrets of his own
And beautifully destroying himself
In hues of red and blue.
Every breath releases hydrogen
And every other element
That creates
The blues and reds and yellows
And entire planets that hold
Something.
Every step leaves a footprint
To let people know
That he’s been there
That he’s looked upon the unknown
And survived it
And let the future know
That he will continue to do so.
The mysteries of the universe
Are compiled into one person
And it is beautiful but haunting to know
That you can see the corners
Of existence
By just looking into the mirror.
