I watch the waves crash onto the coast
and I listen to the sound of the water dancing to the rhythm of my heartbeat
I think about what matters the most to me
As I watch the water and sand meet
The ocean’s tide has been strong all day
It is in similarity to my strong faith
Faith in the corrupted world where we live
Faith in the hope that not all hope is lost
Faith in spreading the word of God
No matter what the cost
The ocean’s tide brings me back
Back to a world where there was little sin
Back to the stories I’d been told
How I wish I could go back in time
How I wish I could experience that life
This is why I stand and watch the ocean’s tide
