Our Forever Friendship
I was 11 or 12, when I met you.
We bumped into each other and you introduced yourself.
Depression.
Oh, how I hate you.
You seemed to be my only friend.
You are the first person I saw every morning
And the last person I saw every night.
You always greeted me with a smile, sticking
Your hands out, waiting in hopes that
I grabbed them.
I confide in you.
You are the reason I stay in my
Room all day.
You tie me to my bed, and only
Let me go when i convince you to.
You like it when we have our late
Night talks, till we see the sunrise.
Inviting your friends to the party.
Playing hide-and-go-seek.
Never see them coming.
Oh, how I hate them
Anxiety and Insomnia.
You guys are the punches I feel
The ones that throw me to the ground,
Not wanting to get up.
You guys are the scars on my wrists and thighs,
The ones I tend to hide, the ones I see in the
Reflection of my mirror.
We are all connected by chains,
And you depression have thrown out the key
So that I’ll never leave.
Years, have passed by and you guys are still
The first persons I see in the morning
And the last persons I see at night.
