Rainy Day
Raining. Pouring. Heavy skies. Thick cloudy blankets. Rivulets flow down my window. Everything runs and smears together, like wet paint. Roadside puddles are thrown upwards by large wheels racing by, water spraying skyward. This atmosphere is seen by most as dreary and depressing, while I see it as a beautiful, soft time of rest.
The bright, sometimes harsh, rays of the sun are dampened to a grayish-blue. The rain quietly pitter patters on my roof. Waterlogged grass becomes rippling pools. The sky tires. It slows. Softens. Slumbers.
