Soldier Paints Peace
There is a lot of hate in the world,
Lets not add to it,
Two armed men ran near a wall,
One is shot in the Leg,
“Hey! Stay here and don’t move”,
The soldier took his rifle and ran,
In fear and terror,
The other man gets up from the floor,
“Hey, Don’t leave me here…!”
No response but gunfire,
“Damn it!”
He tore the left part of his pants,
He uses one hand to put pressure on the gunshot wound,
The other gets a hand full of blood,
Paints peace on the wall,
Losing his balance,
And falling to the ground,
Groans in pain,
His eyes slowly close,
He tilts his head to the right,
He opens his eyes to see someone,
A little girl with brown hair and smooth skin,
“Daddy, you promised you come home…”
He Lost so much blood,
In so little time,
I don’t think he would make it,
The soldier had a tears running down his face,
With his final dying breathe,
He whispered,
“I’m so sorry,
Will you please forgive me…?”
