Day & Night
The sun rising up above the treeline
casting its light across the forests and fields.
Illuminating the world around you,
With bright orange streaks of light as the morning begins.
Warmth falls upon you as the day continues.
Patches of white spot the sky moving slowly along with the wind,
floats across the mountain top like a leaf falling from a tree.
Then comes the time when the sun lowers beneath the horizon
as if it’s lifespan has come to an end.
As the sun descends below the treeline,
colors of all assortments spill across the sky.
The air cools and moths buzz around the one light above the meadows.
The creatures of the night prowl about throughout the shadows.
One by one, stars begin to shine
Bright dots paint a picture through the night.
Quick streaks of light disappear
as fast as they arrive.
The moon glistening and watching all that happens under it.
Until the time comes,
where the sun will rise once more.
