I Want To Forget
February 2002, how did they do it?
One kid at home
Three years old, full of energy
And now bringing another beautiful child into this world
This time, a girl
Living with the father's grandmother
Aftercoming home from the hospital
No room for two kids, two parents,
and a great-grandmother, Paula
Then, kicked to the streets with nothing but
Their babies at hip
Staying wherever was suitable for the night
Aunts, parents, cousins, friends,
But nowhere to call home
Father's mother invites them to stay in a
Little Cedarville house with her
Finally, a home, but they were not aware
Of what was going to happen
2004, bruises of hate on the faces
Of the kids with one more being born
Bruises not from the parents of the kids though
At this time the little girl was two, and
The boy was five
They had nobody to turn to
They were too young
Ten years pass, and the children still
Being abused, but no longer by their
Grandmother, but by the women and man who brought
them into this world
2014, "baby" is 10, first boy is 16, and
The baby girl is 12
Still having nobody to turn to
Until they were saved
From the cruel parents who had beaten them
For nothing
2016, the children are now 12, 18, and 14
Wanting to forget all the pain and torture
I want to forget
Yes, me, my family, my story
I want to forget
