A Corner
I don't recall his name, from 3 years ago, on tht cloudy day.
He was old, scratchy with tattered clothes; black with a dash of grey.
The human form of sunshine, I think i'll call his ray.
He didn't mind his limping leg
Nor the fact that he couldn't walk; maybe if he had a cane.
But he minded that I didn't smile or bother to tell him my name.
On that day I gave food to those of need.
Plenty of brown bagged goodies.
None for him, he said; free of any greed.
He waved, laughed and danced.
Saw beauty in every little thing.
He said no one had 'no' purpose.
He was a good man, beyond his rough surface.
Hopefully no longer in that corner-
-where he stayed.
