Im thankful
For you showing me how easy it was to lie to me
Because now I don't trust as easily
For showing me that almost a year of being together does not mean anything
Because now i don't fall as easily
Im thankful
For you being such a good liar
Because now it's easier to spot on other people
For you showing me that “ I love you” does not mean the same thing for some people
Because now I refuse to say it to people
Im thankful
For the time we shared
The laughs we had
And the memories we made
Im thankful
For you helping me grow
Because of the poor choices you made
For making me a stronger person
Because of the actions you made
Im thankful
For the wall I have built
Because you showed me how it felt to be heart broken
Im thankful
For you made me the person I am today

when i was writing this poem i was writing about my frist heartbreak. he showed me alot of things and it took me a long time to really get over him. h was my first love and my first heartbreak. will always love him and be thankful for the time we shared.
