silent cries
you should know
What goes around comes
And every time that you lie
It's like looking down the barrel of a gun
Then BAM!
One day it goes off
And you’re gone
And your pain and your time and your love is all lost
But there are no tears
No one to miss you
No one knew
You told too many lies for them to uncover to truth
That you were hurting inside
And breaking down each night
And depression held you captive
Kept your ropes tied tight
And your goals too high
You could never reach them
And every time you failed you had to focus on breathing
Because your mind and lungs agreed
And every time you tried to stop
Your heart just kept beating
But you thought to yourself
Really , what’s the use?
It started out with just a simple,
“Yes I'm fine”
Then it became much more
You were living a lie
Every word you spoke
Came out bitter and hurtful
You didn’t care
You kept your head down and your eyes low
Because people could tell
When they looked in them
So you made it simple
You went and you hid them
So you continued to lie saying it was all okay
And you didn't realize your soul was dark
And your skin showed your pain
Because even if you tried
You couldn’t hide everything
But you already knew that
And again pretended not to care
Even when the other kids pointed and stared
You felt your heart fight with your mind
And for the first time
The world hear your silent cries
