Setting the Caged Bird Free
She sat staring out the window looking at the kids her age taking risks. She saw them wild and free, she didn't know how that felt at all. She always felt like a caged bird waiting to be set free, but will the moment when she will be free, ever come? O how she longed to taste that bit of freedom that sense of fun.
7am to 4pm that was her opening, but she didn't take it she couldn't. She was afraid she'd get in trouble with not only her school but her parents as well. But those weekends, O how they gave her the courage to walk out that door and have fun, but it wasn't enough. Will it ever be?
One day she sat on her window sill like always on the weekends to stare at the kids. She saw them with gleeful faces playing and dancing on the fall leaves. She couldn't handle it the wind was calling for her, the leaves were yearning for her.
So she got off her window sill and did something very drastic something wild. She ran down her stairs and before she walked out that door she felt changedin a good way like a new person who was finally going to be free. She grinned from ear-to-ear as she walked out the door and finally joined in on the fun.
As she played with her new friends she realized how it felt to be free, because she was finally set free and she loved it.
