My Summer Adventure
As I stuffed my bag with half my wardrobe,
I thought about all the fun activities yet to do with Joani & Ari.
Waiting outside my house I couldn’t wait.
I had about a thousand butterflies in my stomach,
mostly from all the excitement!
We were driving down a road on a hot summer day.
It felt like the middle of nowhere.
Once at the lake house it was too busy to go tubing.
Because of it being a holiday weekend.
We were bummed but went swimming instead.
In the shore I could feel seaweed.
It was long and slimy on my feet and against my legs.
We showered from all the sand we were covered in.
Early in the morning we grabbed a quick breakfast.
We threw on our swimsuits and grabbed life jackets.
We headed for the boat.
We got up early
We beat traffic on the lake to tube.
We found a nice spot in the lake to start off.
We hooked up the tube and hopped on.
I felt cold splashes as we rocked onto the tube.
The tube tilted way back
We held on until we zoomed off.
We held onto the handles tight
we raced and zapped through the lake.
We went in fast circles through the waves.
We had aching hands and arms
We got back in the boat and dryed off.
We rode in the boat back to the lake house,
I thought why did I never go tubing before.
I had so much fun,
I couldn’t wait to go again next summer.
I thanked everyone for having me as we left.
I was glad I went tubing.
I was surprised on how well I did.
Especially since I didn't tip once.
I was proud to say I tried something new over the summer.
