The 90 Mile Voyage
A heap of trash,
Neatly organized,
Floating desperately in the ocean water.
On the edge
Of capsizing
As people overflow the crumbling raft,
With old half broken wooden oars
Slowly push the raft through the night and day.
The boat rolls over the white capped waves,
Trying to make it to shore.
The makeshift raft full of fearful individuals,
They fear the orange boats will find them
before they reach freedom.
But that doesn’t stop the voyages.
