He dribbles the ball,
As he tried to stall.
Wanting one last shot,
As the shot meant a lot.
The defender was tall,
As one may recall.
He continued to dribble around,
As the seconds ticked down.
He finally let the shot fly,
As it was do or die.
The ball swished through the net,
As they survived the threat.
The crowd went went crazy,
As it was amazing.
They won the game,
As the other team left in shame.
It is fun for all,
The game of basketball.
