Always on a log haul anticipating his arrival.
Miles flying till coming to his last mile.
Like a blue bird he came and went.
Not having much time I’m given not spent.
For the journey that we all must make.
As my Trucker was too soon to take.
Like a fire he would grow in anger.
Still would sink deep like a sea anchor.
Sweet on the inside, Sour on the outside.
Always keeping you on a roller coaster ride.
Taking off to the end of his road.
Now making his way to his humble abode.
Feeling like a dog waiting for his meal.
I have feelings I don’t want to reveal.
My head keep spinning I don’t know how to feel.
I believe that everything that has happened isn’t real.
Nor happy or sad in a time of loss.
I will put my faith in the cross.
Loving my Grandpa was something I really meant.
In memory of a Grandfather who’s life was well spent.
