Loud shattering shrieks
Screech and echo through
The closed doors.
As a couple of friends from America
Enjoy the close company of each other
At their favorite restaurant.
In between their sentences
The loud sickening screams

Cannot be heard from
The Middle East
Blood trickles down his empty eyes,
A couple of bones shattered,
But the agency is far from relenting.

Ahmed was hauled away
Because they thought he had information
Related to some terror attacks.
At first he tried to claim
That he had no idea
What they were speaking of,
Believing the Central Intelligence Agency
Would not dare take someone they were not
Certain about.

An agent, flustered,
Ordered him to be strapped to a board
And another agent filled the can with water
As a third put the cloth
Over his face.

Terrified,
Completely defeated and humiliated
Ahmed let out a mumbled cry through the cloth,
And told them the information they wanted to hear.
