For a internet friend
It hurts internally to know there’s someone like you out there,
Someone that understands your everyday struggles,
Someone that accepts you for who you are.
But they’re so far away.
You know the chances of meeting them are low,
Your parents or their parents may not allow it,
It’s a shame when you think about it.
Knowing that they care about you but are miles away.
Knowing that you both want to meet each other eventually.
Knowing that they share similarities with you like nobody else.
Knowing that you want to protect them and keep them safe from harm.
Knowing that you love them.
Pain in your chest.
You’re barely able to rest.
Thinking of them being in a world of harm.
Sets off an alarm in your head.
You care about that person deeply.
You wish them the best of luck.
You want to be there for them.
You want them to be safe.
They may understand you in a way.
If you’ve been picked on for any reason,
If you’ve had a bad time in the world so far,
If you’re feeling sort of suicidal with no other hope.
I could say because of you,
I make it through the day,
Without harming myself,
Or getting myself into more trouble than I need to be in.
I thank you dearly for that.
As it is hard for me in this life so far.
I thank you for the countless hours spent typing to me.
I thank you for countless relations to my stories that you’ve told.
I thank you for being here for me, when you may have other things to do.
Thank you.
So much.
