this sickness
October 30, 2016
the world shrunk
to the size of her bedroom
trapped within the restraining
four walls
in the night
sound walked in
with high heels
skipped across the pavement
the coming and going of
conversations travelling
punishment of disease
trapped and confined
inside of these pale walls
blood pressure mounted
a pulse throbbing
this is the race between
pain and death
