wildflowers
The first time i saw you i thoughr of as a delicate wildflower, alone in a field you looked at me with those warm, inviting eyes, and smiled as innocently as a newborn. For a moment i could have swore you had never experienced pain a day in your life. You were so efficacious in your ways, i too becoming more vulnerable than ever. It was not long before those enchanting eyes and irresistable voice had me believing nothing could ever go bad, and that maybe it was all just a myth. You played it off so well until the day i caught you looking and smiling the same way at someone else. It was then i realized you were never the wildflower, it was i, and you were the storm ripping me from the roots and turning the world upside down. I never thought i was weak until i let you press me into the ground while sobbing the question, "where did i go wrong?"
