The deep dark woods

The woods are dark and scary,
filled with terrifying beast
Tall trees with gnarled branches,
stout shrubs with sharp twigs
Today I face my fears.
Today I enter the woods
I walk the paths
dark and damp
I hear a twig snap
and frantically turn around
I see a squirrel,
it runs up a tree
I look up into the trees
I smile
The trees are tall and beautiful.
The branches are long and smooth
The woods
Are not scary
The woods
Are beautiful
